FRESNO COUNTY ISSUES SAFETY REMINDERS AHEAD OF INCOMING STORM
FRESNO, CA – As Hurricane Hilary hits landfall and the residual storm makes its way to the Central Valley, Fresno County may experience rainfall of up to .5 inches.
Fresno County residents can still access the web page, www.fresnocountyemergency.com for information and updates on roads, sandbags, power outages, and weather. The County encourages the public to check the web page as well as the Fresno County and Fresno County Sheriff social media accounts for updates and emergency information.
To receive alerts, residents should download the Everbridge app https://member.everbridge.net/index/453003085614497#/signup. Residents should report road hazards to RdMaint@fresnocountyca.gov.
Fresno County also reminds the public of these safety tips:
- Do not travel in flooded areas and to turn around.
- Turn on your headlights when using windshield wipers.
- Report plugged culverts and washed-out roadways.
- Avoid recreational travel, especially to the foothills and mountains.
- Stock up on supplies and batteries in the event of a power outage.
