Assessor

The Assessor's primary responsibility is to determine the appropriate taxable value of property each year, and to establish who is responsible for the taxes due.

Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector

The Auditor-Controller/Treasurer-Tax Collector is responsible for the County's financial functions.

Child Support Services

The Fresno County Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) is a government agency that helps parents with all aspects of child support. The DCSS creates and enforces child support orders, collects and distributes child support payments, and provides services to promote parental responsibility and support children.

Clerk of the Board of Supervisors

The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is a customer service-oriented department. It provides a range of services to the public, the Board of Supervisors and County Staff. It also is the official repository of County records.

County Administrative Office

The County Administrative Office, under the leadership of Paul Nerland, functions as the operations arm of the Board of Supervisors to deliver the highest quality public services to Fresno County residents. There are 21 Departments with 7,200 employees dedicated to finding better and more effective ways to meet the needs of our community.

County Clerk/Registrar of Voters

The County Clerk/Registrar of Voters department is responsible for voter information, elections, and County Clerk Services such as marriage, passport, and FBN licenses.

The Fresno County Department of Social Services (DSS) assists individuals and families through several programs such as: Adult Protective Services, Child Welfare Services, In-Home Supportive Services, Eligibility programs (food, cash aid, healthcare coverage), Welfare-to-Work, Housing and Homeless Assistance, and the Veterans Service Office.
