Courthouse Park, located in Downtown Fresno, is the site of the Fresno County Courthouse and has been a site of community activity since the 1870s. Courthouse Park is home to many memorials and is host to many events.
Courthouse Park is connected to Fulton District and Eaton Plaza by the Mariposa pedestrian mall. Information on a self-guided walking tour of Courthouse Park is available from the Fresno County Office of Tourism.

Vehicle Parking and Transportation
Underground vehicle parking is available at Courthouse Park in Garage 4 for a fee. Metered parking is available adjacent to all corners of Courthouse Park. Free parking is available for prospective jurors. Courthouse Park is also home to the Fresno Area Express (FAX) Downtown Transit Center, providing convenient access to and from all parts of the city.

From Highway 99 take the Fresno Street exit east to Van Ness Street. From Highway 41 take the Tulare Street exit, cross Fresno Street and turn west on Tulare Street to Van Ness Street.

History
In 1872, the Central Pacific Railroad laid out the town site of Fresno Station and railroad owners offered four blocks at Mariposa and "L" Streets for a site for a park and future courthouse. In 1874, the County seat moved from the town of Millerton to Fresno and has been the center of county government ever since.
