Section 8-1.04B states this project has a time sensitive schedule due to the snow season at the project location. With this project not bidding until 11/21, this already puts us in snow season. Is the contractor expected to start in the middle of winter or will the County allow project to start in Spring 2025 when snow has melted? (RFC 2415-1 submitted 10/23/2024)
Work on-site will be allowed once snow has melted. It is not possible to predict when that will happen; however the contract is planned to be awarded January 2025 and Contractor will be required to start the submittal process to have materials ready when the conditions in the field are acceptable to perform the work. With regard to the bid bond/s, since there are three (3) bids required (base, add-on 1, add-on 2) are separate bid bonds required? Or may we provide a bond covering the entire project bid price? (RFC 2415-2 submitted 10/24/2024)
One bid bond for 10% of the total bid amount, including supplemental work and additives, is required. Response date: 10/30/2024
