The following list is comprised of paraphrased Requests for Clarification (RFC) submitted by potential bidders or sub-bidders in writing via email, letter, and this form:

These paraphrased questions and associated responses are not part of the contract documents and shall have no bearing whatsoever on the interpretation of the Standard Specifications, the Standard Plans, the Special Provisions, or the Plans. Nor shall they have any bearing whatsoever on the interpretation of other publications referenced therein.

Questions without answers may be posted here to indicate that we have received them before the deadline, and we intend to respond.

Is there a liquidated damages value per day. We could only find one section referring to liquidated damages, but no values assigned to them in the specs. (RFC 2414-2 submitted 10/9/2024)

Can the term of contract for phase 2 be extended? Specifications call for up to 30 days for final design from engineer and if the slot design of the screen is changed additional time of contract will be lost for custom screen. 48 row mill slot isn't the most common of screen design. Will a C-57 be accepted for a prime contractor in lieu of an A license? (RFC 2414-4 submitted 10/16/2024)

 

We sent off for pricing on the site light and it looks like what is called out is no longer available. From the supplier: they still have the manufacturer as BETA which has been gone for 15 yrs. Please review and share the current spec sheet with available options. Have them choose what they need and let me know. Please review and share the attached spec sheet with available options. Yes. Response date: 10/24/2024

Will the current well be off during operation/construction? (RFC 2414-11 submitted 10/24/2024)

The current well is the only water source for the community. Contractor shall coordinate with County operator the possibility of temporarily turning off the well. Response date: 10/24/2024

 

Is it a gravel pad? (RFC 2414-12 submitted 10/24/2024)

The County will make the drillers log of the original well available under Supplemental Information. Response date: 10/24/2024

 

Is there something wrong with the current well? (RFC 2414-13 submitted 10/24/2024)

No. This project provides a back-up water source. Response date: 10/24/2024

 

Do you know where it's perforated, and does it meet water quality standards? (RFC 2414-14 submitted 10/24/2024)

Refer to the Plans. Casing perforations matches existing well. The existing well produce water meeting Title 22. Response date: 10/24/2024

 

What is the required flow rate? (RFC 2414-15 submitted 10/24/2024)

The expected well production rate is 200-240gpm based on the existing well. The contractor will pump test the well for the Engineer to determine the well capacity as part of the project. Response date: 10/25/2024

Yes. Existing well pumps to the existing tank. Response date: 10/24/2024

Yes. The well supplies water to the school. The school fills up the tank occasionally as the tank is for fire suppression only. Response date: 10/24/2024

The school is being supplied by a connection outside the work area. Response date: 10/24/2024

The anticipated award date is December 17th. Notice to Proceed to submittals is approximately 20 working days after award. Response date: 10/24/2024
