CalFresh Healthy Living (Formerly Champions for Change) is a statewide movement of local, state and national partners collectively working toward improving the health status of low-income Californians through increased fruit and vegetable consumption and daily physical activity.
Tobacco Prevention Program
The Tobacco Prevention Program (TPP)’s mission is to reduce tobacco use and exposure to secondhand and thirdhand smoke. TPP offers information, education, and training to support changes in individual behavior as well as our environments. The program is committed to serving the diverse health needs of the community and to improve overall quality of life in Fresno County.
Local Oral Health Program
LOHP is a 5 year state-wide initiative (2022-2027) that supports oral health efforts in Fresno County. The goal of the LOHP is to increase oral health awareness, promote dental resources, and to collaborate with local partners on school-based initiatives.

State Physical Activity and Nutrition Program (SPAN)
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the State Physical Activity and Nutrition (SPAN) program addresses local level nutrition and physical activity interventions that support health, nutrition, safe and accessible physical activity, and breastfeeding accommodations. Fresno County was one of five counties selected by CDPH for local interventions.
