Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is granted to a foreign citizen or national after he or she fulfills the requirements established by Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act(INA).
The Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters is pleased to participate at these ceremonies to registrar new voters for Fresno County. Representatives from the Fresno County Clerk/Election department host a booth for new U.S. Citizens to register to Vote. Naturalization ceremonies are conducted by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Representatives from the department attended the Naturalization ceremony held in Fresno, California on October 17, 2017. There were 1001 new citizens granted U.S.citizenship. Approximately 34 residents completed voter registrations cards with 15 of these registrants being Fresno County residents registering as new voters at the ceremony.

Representatives from the department attended the Naturalization ceremony held in Fresno, California on September 12, 2017. There were 754 new citizens granted U.S.citizenship. Approximately 40 new Fresno County residents registered as new voters at the ceremony.

Representatives from the department attended the Naturalization ceremony held in Fresno, California on August 22, 2017. There were 650 new citizens granted U.S.citizenship. Approximately 35 new Fresno County residents registered as new voters at the ceremony.
