2017 AUTISM AWARENESS MONTH
Fresno County Clerk’s Office Pays it Forward for Autism Awareness Month & Thanks the Community for Their Generosity
Fresno, CA – In recognition of April’s Autism Awareness month, a robust assortment of donated puzzles, toys, blocks, bubbles, sensory balls and small toys were collected and recently presented to Fresno Autism Network’s (FAN) founder Stephanie Rodriguez, at the Fresno County Clerk’s.
In keeping with the Fresno County Clerk/Registrar of Voters’ longstanding tradition of supporting community projects, last February 14th on Valentine’s Day, County Clerk Brandi L. Orth invited the community to join in the “Until All the Pieces Fit,” toy and puzzle drive. The response was overwhelming.
Brandi said, “We are so grateful to all those who donated toward this year’s, “Until All the Pieces Fit” toy and puzzle drive. The community really stepped forward, as they always do, with their donations.” She continued, “Every child with Autism is a unique piece, and we strive to help them create their life picture. Each item collected will help enhance the education and sensory experience of children with Autism.”
The Fresno Autism Network (FAN) is a local non-profit organization that provides support services to families of children with Autism here in Fresno County. (www.facebook.com/ASDfamilies/)
