Mental health crisis intervention services are provided in collaboration with Kings View Metro CIT and other first responders. The City of Fresno Police Department Crisis Intervention Team (FPD CIT) officers secure the scene to ensure the clinician's safety during the crisis encounter. FPD CIT officers also have the ability to assess for and initiate a W&I 5150 hold when the Metro CIT clinicians are engaged on other calls for service.

The CBANS Program is an instrumental component of providing wrap-around service intervention utilizing a holistic and culturally relevant approach, and delivered in a natural community setting. The purpose and goals of this Program are to build on the skills or interests of the client in order to maximize: emotional and physical independence, self-care and daily living abilities, positive stress and symptom coping skills, and social and interpersonal interactions. By developing these skills, the client shall learn to depend less on more costly crisis services, and shall minimize or avoid more severe outcomes such as substance abuse, hospitalization or incarceration.

The Holistic Cultural Education and Wellness Center will provide an innovative approach in addressing mental health/behavioral health related issues for underserved and un-served clients who may typically not seek traditional (Western clinically based) mental health services, and may be more responsive if County staff and County practices understand and incorporate alternative culturally and ethnically focused wellness and recovery practices. The Center is not designed to be exclusive in terms of who may access the education/referral component and any member of the community may be interested in alternative culturally and ethnically focused wellness and recovery practices in addition to clinically based treatment.

Program to provide/enhance horticulture-based community sites (community gardens) to serve as neighborhood resource centers for the delivery of mental health planning and early intervention activities specifically designed to address community mental health in culturally sensitive and linguistically competent ways. Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS)
The LOSS team provides information, support, warm linkage, and resources to newly bereaved suicide survivors.
