Assessment Roll

Secured Assessment Roll and Situs files are updated once a year in July. Parcels owned by government entities (i.e. City of Fresno, federal government, various water districts) do not appear on the assessment roll or situs index because they are not taxable. Situs file is an index of addresses assigned to parcel numbers. If a parcel does not have an address, it will not be in the index. The Assessment Roll does not show taxes due, that information is available from the Tax Collector.

Data For Sale Notes

  • We do not sell pieces of any of the files such as a range of APNs, a school or water district, specific cities such as Parlier, properties with certain characteristics, a single tax rate area, etc.
  • Situs file is formatted to show street address and APN. It is arranged alphabetically by street name.
  • Quarterly Sales data only includes data from the previous two (2) years.
  • The Property Characteristics file cost is 5 cents per parcel. There are 306,580 assessable parcels as of January 1, 2024.
  • Text and CSV (comma-separated values) files are formatted for use with spreadsheets and database management systems.
  • Data will be sent after payment has been received in our office. To purchase any or all of these files, please provide the following:
    1. A written request stating the specific files you require and in what format. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 1146, Fresno, CA 93715.
    2. Contact name, daytime phone number, and E-mail address.
    3. The mailing address the data will be sent to. We do not email files but can send them to your FTP server.
    4. A check or money order payable to the Fresno County Treasurer for the total amount of all files requested. Do not send cash.

California Public Records Act, Government Code Section 6254.21 states in part, No state or local agency shall post the home address or telephone number of any elected or appointed official on the Internet without first obtaining the written permission of that individual. This includes but is not limited to judges, law enforcement personnel, government appointees, and members of the legislature. To comply with the Act, we have omitted the Assessee's name from all files posted in the "Free to Download" section.
